When you do it, Allah will forgive your sins, the first and the last of them, the old and the new, those done by mistake and those done intentionally, the small and the great, the secret and the open?”
He then instructed him to pray Salat al-Tasbih and explained its method. (Reported by Abu Dawood, Ibni Majah, and Tirmidhi – graded Hasan by scholars like Al-Albani)
It is narrated that a man once came to a pious scholar complaining about the burdens of his sins and the heaviness he felt in his heart. The scholar advised him:
“There is a special prayer that was given to the uncle of the Prophet ﷺ, and it guarantees forgiveness of all sins, no matter how great. If you seek Allah’s mercy, then perform Salat al-Tasbih with sincerity and humility.”
The man followed this advice, and after completing the prayer, he felt a deep sense of peace and relief. Later, he saw a dream in which he was shown a beautiful book of deeds, with pages glowing with light. He was told: “This is the result of your Salat al-Tasbih.”
